Shyamnagar and my childhood....

Now a days i am leading a full leisure life ...after having 8.5 years of hectic and always "on toe" life i am now absolutely free. It was very good for couple of months i tried to learn cooking which was a lacking expertise for me ...now a days i can cook some very descent food and sometime better than restaurant. :-) .
After that i have tried to do some in-house project that i always wanted to do during my working days to gain certain proficiency with something ...but recently i am finding myself very isolated and lonely.   Being so called "educated" i know that the loneliness is a disease ...so i thought let me keep myself busy with anything to everything.
Now it is 8:30am at my place and it is a sunny day so far, birds are outside so are the toddlers :-) . Childhood is the best blessing in human life ...is it so? it was best for us ...but being from a country where poverty is all time high i know that is not the case for every child in our country. But still i am feeling the urge to pen down some of my childhood memories ...
I used to stay in a big house which was our ancestral house along with my Mamma[grandmother],Maa, Baba, Somu[bother] . That house was located with 10mins walking distance from river Ganga in Shyamnagar,24prgs,West Bengal, India. Sometime during our summer vacation and the "Durga Puja" vacation me and Somu used to go along with Mamma for a morning walk. When i was in 6th grade and Somu was in 5th, we used to do cycling along with river-side road in the morning. It was lovely and when we used to come back by 9am both of us were sweat-out badly. My maternal uncles used to stay very close to us and they used to visit us regularly ....and being the only nephew Somu always enjoys a special attention from them...till date ..."adorable bhanja". Sometime i feel that "affection flows downward" , it has a property much like the water :-)...always flows from higher level to lower.Sometime we used to go to take bath in Ganga...and it was super fun ...that cold water and there were so much small insects that used to flow in that water ...there was a very big temple of "Kali" just next to that riverbed ...and during the month of "Poush"[mid Dec-mid Jan] there was a famous Mela and we used to visit that Mela and "Phuchka" was a "must eat" in that place ...some vendors from across the state used to set up the stalls...there was "Merri-go-round" and  so many other rides. Sometime there was  "Circus" [Gemini Circus---this is the only one name that i remember] and "Yatra" [ theater ]. It was a typical urban place where the nature was very close with the people...
So much memory.....it never dies ...
